Unauthorized payment with my Apple ID

The term “starapps” has been on my bank statement. I have been able to stop these payments but am looking into it further to see if I can solve where it started. It was about a year ago and my bank couldn’t give me an explanation. I’ve learned it’s a gaming sight but don’t remember signing and approving a weekly payment of $19.99 (£15.78). Please feel free to help. If anyone has had this or a similar issue

We’re not involved in any of this. We’re other Apple users, and some here are third-party developers. Not Apple.

First, check whether there’s a subscription via Apple: Subscriptions and Billing - Official Apple Support

Check all Apple IDs associated with your payment information, including in Family Sharing.

If there is no subscription or no bill associated with any of your Apple IDs, and with any of the Apple IDs using your payment info within Family Sharing, then the charge is likely direct. It may well be fraudulent.

If the charges are direct and not via Apple, you will want to discuss this with the vendor, if you originally provided the vendor with your payment card info.

If the charges are not direct and you did not initiate the charges and did not provide your card details, and nobody else authorized to use your payment card authorized the charges, then have a discussion about this with your financial provider, and dispute the charges.

… on my bank statement …

Apple charges do not list the product or service on bank statements. If a product or service was listed there, then Apple billing is not involved.

To see details of Apple charges for digital products or services, see your Apple ID’s purchase history instead. View your purchase history for the App Store, iTunes Store, and other Apple media services - Apple Support
