Co-owners cannot be removed from a joint (co-owned) account. Co-owners have equal rights and responsibilities. Either co-owner may permanently close the account by leaving account. If the account is closed by either co-owner, they are welcome to each apply for an individual account. They must still qualify financially and the closed account will still need to be paid.

All you can do is close your account. Neither you nor your wife will have an account, once either co-owner leaves. You’ll each have to apply, if you want to, for a new individual account. Opening a new individual Apple Card account will depend on your FICO 9 score and current credit report. The closed account will still need to be paid every month until the full balance due is satisfied.
