How can I attach a Firestick to an ipad to watch the Firestick content

I have an Amazon Firestick that I watch on my TV. I’m going away and I want to be able to plug the Firestick into my iPad. I’ve bought the HDMI adapter to do so but nothing is visible on the screen. Does anyone know a way of doing this? Is there an app that will enable me to do this?

I basically want to turn it in to just displaying what’s on the fire stick.
