Face-time camera running unexpectedly upon power-up

Fired-up my MacBook and surprised to see the FaceTime green camera light on. I hadn't made a FaceTime call before shut-down so a little taken aback. Could it be due to the recent update, hacking or my iPhone perhaps (not that I had used FaceTime on that for a while). Just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same?
