Google Chrome continually "not responding"

I have an iMac running Ventura.

Chrome has suddenly started hanging "not responding" and despite closing it down, opening up, it works maybe for one search then "not responding"


I have right clicked in Applications and sent it to the Bin, reinstalled it but still same issue.


When I delete Chrome from Applications Folder, it still has Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Slides .....


Any advice appreciated how I can get it working as I am learning a language and the teacher is putting everything in Chrome Google Classroom ....
