This is a series 7 watch. Was purchased in Dec2021. The box was never even opened until this past Christmas (2023). Tried to charge it and nothing. The white Apple logo popped up and then faded to orange and then disappeared. Will not turn on or charge. Took to the Apple Store and they sent it out for repair. Wanted to charge me $349 without even telling me what the issue was. This watch was NEW Never Used! Any ideas here?
If the lithium battery of a device like the Apple Watch or the iPhone has not been charged for that long, the battery is probably defective and parts of the hardware might also have been damaged.
And replacing the Apple Watch will cost you $349, since just replacing the battery will not fix the issue, if there is more damage to the hardware.
