I just brought an IPad from a pawn shop and it still has a password on it so I can't open it. Is there a way to erase the password like do a factory reset and load my information?

It is a Gen 8 model (2020), I connect it to my IMac desktop but updating it takes so long because my computer runs slow.

iPad (8th generation)

Without the Apple ID and Password of the original owner, you will never be able to use the device. Activation Lock is a theft prevention feature. Return it for your money back or recycle it at any Apple Store.
