Studio M2 Max with Pegasus 32 R4
I do some intensive photography processing and have a lot of photo/video files. I'm currently using an old iMac with data on a Pegasus 2 R4 Raid array.
I'm considering building a system with an Apple Studio M2 Max computer with enough storage to keep all my applications on the internal drive, and keep data on a Pegasus 32 R4 16TB external RAID array. I would like to backup the data RAID array to an old Pegasus 2 R4 RAID array. The Pegasus 2 series has Thunderbolt 2 interface.
It seems like that would give me lots of storage and speedy editing of photos or videos via the 40 Gbps connection to the data drive.
Does this make sense?
