Hos to turn off the ambient light sensor on the iPhone (13proMax)

I, like many others like to play games on my iPhone but that **** sensor keeps dimming the screen bc I hold my phone horizontally and have to cover the camera with my fingers. Is there a way to turn that sensor off or something like that. And no, it’s not overheating, the temp is good while playing

iPhone screen brightness On the subject of iPhone screen brightness in sunlight bring dim to the point of not being able to be read, community payer: LD150 said it was pupil dilation and to find somewhere darker (thats more dim than the phone screen and totally unhelpful). Apple clearly steps down brightness to keep the iphone cooler as the heat will already pose an issue to the already hot processor. Apple can you provide better heat dissipation in hot areas? Or at least let us choose to the point of the “your phone has shutdown due to high temperatures” message and at least let us decide so we can choose our screen brightness in emergency situations. Proximity Sensor Visible Through Display, iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max As stated in the keynote address announcing the iPhone 14 Pro Series, the proximity sensor (and apparently the ambient light sensor) has been relocated to behind the display and not within the Dynamic Island. Can anyone else actually see the proximity sensor while either flashing a flashlight or directing sunlight to the area of the screen below the Dynamic Island? Or do I have a defect in my screen?

iPhone13pro screen dims in bright sunlight One of the common problems with the iPhone is how useless it can become when taking photos in bright sunlight at the beach. You virtually cannot see the subject matter, just a reflection of your face in the shiny glass. Yes, auto dim is turned off and brightness cranked to full. Phone is NOT hot and was pulled out of a cooler. Within 2 minutes the display dimmed and it became utterly useless. I have been told that it is Apple's iOS way to protect against overheats. Is there anything that can be done to get around this? The 13pro is supposed to have the latest and greatest in camera function. Perhaps Apple could direct their energies toward cooling their processor better than constantly improving camera function? It would be nice to be able to use the thing in bright sunlight for a change.
