Sharing files from androids to iPad via usb drive

I have iPad 10 gen, I tried to transfer some file from my android phone to iPad via usb. But as soon as I plug my device into iPad it wipes it clean. My data lost. I am using Sandusky drive to transfer. As long as it’s iPad back to iPad data stays but as I insert it into my android phone I can read that files in my phone. Then again when I insert it into iPad all data is gone. Drive is clean. Why ? Help. Is there any setting I have to turn off.

Transfering Folders and Files using file sharing I am having issues transferring folders from my iPad to my PC, transferring files works, but not folders. I have found another way, but it takes a long time to do. Also, transferring files and folders from PC to iPad is the same situation. Is there an easier way to do this? Because what I am doing now is zipping the file, sending it via Dropbox to another iPad, and unzipping and placing the file. I am really doing this, because I don't have enough iCloud space, and I don't really want to pay (despite how cheap it is)

File transfers to iPad I'm completely new to iOS. I have an iPad mini 4 and I want to copy some MS Office files and PDF files from my laptop to my iPad and store them in subject folders I have created. I need to be able to access them when I'm offline. With my old Android, I just connected via a USB cable. I also want to transfer complete music CD albums and use some kind of app to access them, again offline. Help! where do I start. When I connected the iPad to my PC and looked at it in file explorer, there was nowehere on the iPad to store anything. Thanks for reading Helen
