Cant add home app to control center on appletv

I have looked all over the internet trying to find out why I cant add home to my appletv and use my appletv as a hub for cameras and other accessories. When I click on the home theater tab under the homekit heading all it does is list rooms and then lists suggested rooms and a remove from home option. I have been pulling my hair out trying to get the home app to show up on my appletv control center. I cant find any fixes or ways to add home to my control center. I have updated my appletv to version 17.4 so I have the latest software update installed but still cannot get the home icon to appear in my control center on my appletv. Im trying to get it to where when motion is detected on one of my arlo cams that a pop up box in the bottom right corner will appear and show the live feed of what the cameras detected. It connected easily to alexa but the home app is still not appearing on my control center. If anyone can tell me what Im doing wrong or what I can do to get home to show up on my control center I would greatly appreciate it.

You’ll have to configure the HomeKit Home on iPhone or iPad or iPod touch, not on the Apple TV box. That is how HomeKit works. Apple TV can function as home hub, which is sort of behind the scenes, without user interaction, providing the link between accessories and settings in iCloud (scenes, automations). Apple TV can function as viewing device for certain camera feeds from compatible devices, when already configured as part of HomeKit.

I have tried everything to get my home icon to appear in my control center on my appletv. I have an arlo doorbell cam and an arlo floodlight cam ls Id like to add to homekit but I have not found any way to do it. I got on the home app on my iphone and my ipad to try to add the cameras I have to homekit using the appletv as a hub. I have an ecobee thermostat that I added to home pretty easily so the ecobee is added to homekit but the home icon still doesnt show up in control center on appletv. This is getting frustrating as I have tried everything I know of that supposedly fixes my problem. Please help me to stop pulling my hair out trying to get this set up please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
