Help I’ve lost my pics after being in recovery mode due to forgotten pw.

my last iphone was destroyed and i got a new iphone but i couldnt remember my appleid password but today after waiting for days in recovery mode i got to reset my password. i thought all my pictures, apps , etc would come back but they didn’t. Why?? How can I get my stuff that was on my other iPhone back. I want my pics.
