Want to move instrument plugins (also NI) to external HD /cannot get other brands instruments plugins in LP screen
Already looked for info on the net but this is trickier than expected.
Use Logic Pro 10.7.4, Studio One, Ableton Formatted my external HD 6TB before use.
Here I will describe in detail what I already did.
I created a map with earlier -band- recordings in different separate 'Project' maps (different bands) with related names on the external HD just to be stored
I created a map with the software DAW programs just to be stored
For Logic use from external disk use I read on the internet I also had to copy the Logic map from the MacHD to the external disk.
I copied the complete 'Library' map to the HD in a separate map called 'Library' (with Application Support (Garageband+Logic) in it).
Created on the HD separate 'Projects' maps for Garageband, Live and Studio One to store projects I am working on and made in different DAW's
Sounds and instruments:
For use in Logic Pro and the other DAW's I created a map: 'Sound_library_VST&AU' with separate maps in it:
- 'Ableton' map with earlier Ableton instruments in it
-'Native Instruments' map with complete plugins instruments in it
-'Spitfire Audio' map with plugins, sounds & samples,
-'StevenSlate' map with plugins sounds & samples
-'Waves' map with plugins
In Logic Pro I choose LPro/Sound Library/Relocate/external HD
but I do no see in the Logic screen in the Library/left bottom the other brands plugins... this is the problem
Also tried Pro/sound library/ re-install sound library, no succes
I also read that you need to copy the 'Apple Loops' map from the MacHD to the external HD.
I copied it from MacHD in the 'Sound_Library_VST&AU map
Finally I guess this detailed info will give insight and hope someone here can give me advise to solve my problem
