When I try and charge my iPhone 15 using the apple supplied corded usbc- usbc cable plugged into usbc port on my lazyboy sofa it doesn’t charge . It charges my watch but not iPhone 15 . What power output is required to charge I phone 15 ? Why does it not work . I tried every lazyboy sofa in the local store and they are all not charging .

It would require a minimum of 5W to charge your iPhone; 20W for "fast" charging.

FWIW ... the iPhone's "charger" is actually built into the phone itself. It controls the amount of current it draws from the power adapter. If your sofa's power output is 5W or greater, one reason the phone is not charging is that its built-in charger senses that the power it is receiving is "dirty" or inconsistent.
However, it can also be possible that the charging cable you are using is defective. Trying another one may prove that out, one way or the other.
