Mac Studio Virtual Instruments Audio Issue

I connected my Behringer sound interface with external speakers to my Mac Studio via usb and selected it in the Sounds output and input. However, it will only allow the audio of videos and streaming stuff like iTunes to pass thru. It will only play my Arturia virtual instruments through the internal computer speakers although they are not the selection. This is very strange and frustrating. Please advise. Thank You.
