I have a Macbook air with Thunderbolt 4 ports that I am using with Logic Pro and garage band to record music. I need a compatible interface. Does anyone have any advise?

It sounds like you're on the right track.
The UA Apollo Solo is a fine interface.
And yes, the Thunderbolt 3 devices should work just fine with your MBA and Logic and Garage Band. The Thunderbolt 4 ports are backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 devices.
There are about a gazillion compatible audio interfaces available out there.
Think about exactly what it is you want to accomplish and then determine the basic features you’ll need.
Do you want to record vocals and guitar? Do you want to input multiple acoustic instruments? What is it you think you need an interface for?
