MacBook Air: Audio interface advice for Logic Pro/GarageBand

I have a Macbook air with Thunderbolt 4 ports that I am using with Logic Pro and garage band to record music. I need a compatible interface. Does anyone have any advise?

I talked to Musician’s friend. My exact question was what was compatible with the thunderbolt 4 port. They told me the ones with Thunderbolt 3 would be compatible. Just doing some home recording. Vocals, guitar, bass drums. I’m looking at the universal audio Apollo solo heritage edition.

There are about a gazillion compatible audio interfaces available out there.

Think about exactly what it is you want to accomplish and then determine the basic features you’ll need.

Do you want to record vocals and guitar? Do you want to input multiple acoustic instruments? What is it you think you need an interface for?

You might give the folks at Sweetwater music a call and have a conversation with a rep in their recording gear section. https://www.sweetwater.com/
