How do I connect a 12-channel mixer to a USB-C only MacBook Pro M2?

So I see folk wittering about their Macbooks with audio input 3.3mm jack. That's fine if you own prehistoric equipment. Mine is a USB c only 2023 Pro M2. I can get nothing to work on it. Depusheng 12 chnl mixer wont connect via BT OR USB. Care to explain why, otherwise my macbook gets burned and I go back to PC. At least the interfaces worked there.

What do you mean by "wont connect via BT or USB?"

  • Connect the mixer to your MBP via USB-C.
  • Turn on the mixer.
  • On your MBP, go to System Report (aka System Information). Under Hardware > USB do you see your mixer listed?
  • Open Audio MIDI Setup. Do you see your mixer listed there as an audio device?

Make sure you have a mic or other source connected to an input on your mixer. Make sure you have the mixer set to pass that source to output and is not muted. Make sure the PFL button is not active. Verify that the gain dial & the gain slider are both set correctly. If you don't see action on the mixer's meters then the problem is in the mixer.

To use your mixer with your Mac, you need to select the mixer as the input source in whatever audio app you are using. What app(s) are you using?
