In the mean time, if you have a laptop with USB-C ports, then try using another USB-C port to charge & power on the laptop. FYI, if the laptop's battery has become completely discharged, then do not disconnect the charger until the battery has reached at least a 10%+ charge level or you can permanently damage the battery. If the laptop won't power on so you can tell, then do not disconnect the charger for at least a couple of hours to be safe.
