Thunderbolt woe
I have a Thunderbolt display that I have used with my various MacBook Pros for years. So that means I also have suffered the once-every-few-months, for-no-apparent-reason, drive-you-crazy, intermittent black or almost black and sometimes flickering phenomena on which these displays have built their reputation.
A few months ago, I fooled myself into thinking that I had finally found the solution to these problems when I tried replacing the display's power cable. Instantly, the display as back to its old background and no flickering! Well, just like every other time the display returned to normal for no apparent reason, that success didn't last long. And once again, I am in thunderbolt display ****. Pushing every button in various sequences in hopes that the next procedure will release the Thunderbolt from its totured existence.
So far, this time -- nothing has worked.
Anyone have the latest thinking or a procedure one can use to fix these displays?
