It is just affecting my iPhone. And now I am home and my Internet connection looks like it is SOS whatever that means.

Your phone has lost its connection to your cellular carrier's network.
Contact your carrier for assistance in getting things working again. That might include them sending you a new SIM card for your phone.
I am curious why or what causes the need for a new SIM card. I bought a iPhone 15 pro in Dec '23, and this same failure happened to me today and carrier ended up have to send a new SIM. No recent updates, or new apps, or changes to the phone, so I am wondering what went wrong being that it is a new phone.
Thanks. I will have to ask since the SIM they sent me worked last night, but this morning it doesn't and now I have no bars like I did with the issue of call failure yesterday, just SOS. Forgive my ignorance, its just frustrating to have it happen, fix it, then that fix fails in less than 12 hours, all on a new phone.
The SIM card failed. It happens. Try using eSIM if your carrier supports it.

You need to get a new SIM card from your carrier. Some newer iPhones use an eSIM and may be able to be updated over the air.
