connecting monitor(Asus PA 278CV to Mac mini #2)

I can only get a brief connection before it says no signal. I have one cord with a connector that I am not familiar with..sort of looks like a HDMI but there's no place to connect it

Thanks

Mac mini, macOS 14.1

The Asus supplied cables "very by region" and the similar looking connector to HDMI is most likely DisplayPort.

Plus most display manufactures including Asus, supply cheap and/or useless cables that need to be replaced with high quality USB-C to DisplayPort cables or premium certified HDMI cables.

The Mac mini M2 support displays from the HDMI and USB-C ports.

If you want to use the Asus's DisplayPort input, then you will need an USB-C to DisplayPort 8K cable.

If you want to use the Asus's HDMI input, then you will need a short premium certified HDMI to HDMI cable.
