Cannot get to icloud mail messages

It seems I cannot get my mail to connect to the icloud inbox. I tried to login through the web, I can login through the web and get to mail, but messages cannot be displayed, at least that is the message from the system.

Is the system down, or there is a problem with my account (I can login in the icloud system and get to files).
