Logic not saving folder structures

New issue I've been having with Logic (10.6.1, Catalina): when I go to save projects, Logic won't save them correctly as folders anymore. It saves them as the project file, audio files folder, etc. all at the top level of my Logic folder, rather than saving a folder named for the project, and THEN all the other stuff under it as it's supposed to.

I also noticed something else weird: if I DO create a separate folder to save it under, THEN it creates the correct folder structure - but like, a folder within a folder.

I realize this might be confusing so here's an example:

  • I choose Save As. Let's call it "Project 1" and I'm saving it under my Logic folder (and yes, I choose to save as a folder, not a package)
  • Under the Logic folder, I now have the "Project 1" project file under the Logic folder, along with the folders for Audio Files, Samples, etc. - but all under the Logic folder, rather than Logic -> Project 1 -> and then all those things.

It never used to do this and I don't believe I changed anything. It is crazy important to me to be able to keep stuff organized and it makes it much more difficult having to manually create a new folder and save stuff under that. Having things that all over the place is obviously potentially disastrous.

Anyone seen this?
