Unable to add hotmail account to Apple Mail

I have attempted numerous times to add my Hotmail account to Apple Mail on my MacBook Air OS Sonoma 14.3. I know PW is correct as I have no issues on iOS devices, WebMail and Android devices. I have tried signing in through Microsoft Exchange and Other when adding account and changed IMAP to POP but still get PW Rejection or "user ID and PW incorrect" message. Has anyone found a fix for this? Never was a problem on MacBook Pro older version but Sonoma 14.3 nothing seems to work.
