• If you have an iPhone 6S through 7, or SE 1st generation, you can update to 15.8.2

The last and final update for the iPhone 6 was iOS 12.5.7.

An iPhone 6/6 plus can't be updated beyond 12.5.7, it doesn't have the hardware required to run anything higher.
If you need a higher iOS version, you will have to purchase a newer phone.

Your iPhone 6 is not able to update to iOS 15. Its hardware is simply too old. To get a higher iOS, you will need to buy a new or newer iPhone.
If you try, i recommend you dont. Older, weaker devices cannot take newer updates as it is to much to process. It causes slowing and easier to break down. :)
