When a specific person texts me, I don't get notified; even though I get notified of all other incoming texts. I have checked all settings for this, and everything is as it should be, so I'm not sure how to fix?
Go to the main conversation screen in Messages. Find the conversation with that person. Is there a small bell with a line through it at the far right? If so, put your finger on the conversation and pull to the left. Tap the purple bell.
ETA: I was posting at the same time you were. Check Focus and see if you have anything set up there.

Nuclear option. Delete the contact and all Message conversations with them. Add them back as a new contact. Leave the text notification tone as the default. See what happens.
Thanks! I checked Focus, and this person is added even as a person whose calls/text are allowed to come through even when in focus time. I've deleted and re-added him, and still no notifications. It is quite odd!
Note that I have already checked, and this person has not been muted.
