Is there any way to recover it?

I've had this happen to me, twice. Once the drive was actually full. The second time the drive had accidentally become disconnected for a split second.
That library is somewhere, just need to know where you put it, as Tom said. I'd first look in the Movies folder for an FCPX library called "Untitled." That's the default FCPX creates when you first open it after installation.
Where was the library saved exactly? A few things to check: make sure FCP has Full Disk Access in Security & Privacy System Settings. How big is the drive where the library is stored and how much free space is on the drive and on the system drive?
I got this message from FCPX and hit continue and lost everything I was working on.
