How to convert PC Microsoft Publisher files to a Mac program?

I have hundreds of files on Microsoft publisher. I would like to buy a Mac for my new business but I need to be sure that they can be sent over to a Mac and edited on a Mac. From what I read swift as the equivalent program. Is that correct. Can I send publisher files to a Mac and open it and swift and edit them?

Swift is a developer tool for writing your own software. it can NOT be used to replace Microsoft Publisher.

--------

Microsoft Publisher is part page layout, part word processor.

Apple Pages is part Word Processor, part page layout. And its Already installed on your Mac.

Does it work identically? NO.

Does it have comparable features? Yes, indeed. And did I mention it mature, full featured software and is free?
