A Small Tip for adding Dividers to the Finder Sidebar

Hello Everybody,

Sometimes you come with an idea you don't understand why didn't come with that ages ago.

Ever since apple released the first system where the Sidebar shortcuts only shows folders in light blue color no matter if you changed their icons, it's being hard for me to quickly find/see the folder I need. I must read it's title as they all look the same.

Before, I used to give my important folders a customize Icon and it appear the same on the sidebar shortcuts.Now, it's just becomes a blue folder with a different title.

I am a visual person. I used to remember phone numbers (like a lot of people) according to their place on the numbers pad but now, with the mobile phone, I no longer tap numbers, so I hardly remember phone numbers as i used to.

Today I suddenly came up with an idea of creating a divider for the Finder Sidebar. I created 3 folders with the titles (since you can't use the same folder to appear in a few place I added number on their title):

1•••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2•••••••••••••••••••••••••••

3•••••••••••••••••••••••••••

I then dragged them to the sidebar and now it's easier for me to find the section I need. So much easier. Now it looks like that.

I used to use extra finder but as you need to cancel permission in order for it to work, I gave it up.

Perhaps there is a new solution but I don't know about it and this one is good enough for me so I decided to share.

I believe that many people suffers from that, I remember I once asked to bring the feature back, but when ones care for the look of thinks more the practical side, there is nothing you can do.
