i got my ipad and it came with a box but i havent used the box bot once and my box doesnt even work

All current iPad models, purchased directly from Apple or from an Apple Authorized Reseller, should come with a 20W USB-C power adapter.
Although, it would be rare, it may be possible that this particular adapter is faulty. As such, you have 14 days (from the purchase) date to have it replaced for free.
