Apple accessories not supported on iPhone 15 pro max

Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter has been a great device …. for data transfer without the need of a computer.

Apple has until now been supporting accessories being used with upgraded models. However it has come as a surprise that the IPhone 15 pro will not be supporting accessories being used on other models with “ Lightning port “

However an accessory made by Apple has been introduced in the Apple Store : USB-C to Lightning Adapter. See below :

I purchased this “ Apple made accessory “ to use it to connect my

“ Apple made “ Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.

The moment you plug in this accessory in the iPhone 15 pro max , along with the new adapter - there is a notification on the screen “ Accessory not supported “

I contacted Apple support and at the end of a 2 1/2 hour long discussion…… it was conveyed to me that this accessory cannot be used on the iPhone 15 Pro max.

I do not understand why the adapter is being sold as “ to connect your lightning accessories to a USB - C enabled iPhone “

Very disappointing that this is the reply from Apple Support ….
