How to use the App Switcher to force quit an app on iPhone
My Fitbit app - they are saying to force quit - to an new version
how do I do this?

Follow the steps in the support document linked below.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and stop in the middle of the screen. Then swipe the app's screen shot there up and off the screen to close the app completely. .
