Photos from IPhone show up my Google photos

I don’t want ALL my photos taken on my iPhone to be on Google Photos. How can I stop this?

Deleting photos from google photos app without deleting from iphone Photos on my iphone are synced to google photos app. I want to remove some photos from google photos app but NOT on my iphone. So following the google forum answers to similar issue, i went to google photos app, click on my picture, clicked Google Photos settings, click Backup and turned it off. I assumed then that i can now delete photos on my google photos app and it will not delete on my iphone. I deleted some photos and 🥲it got deleted from my iphone photos too! What step did I miss?

How to delete google photos without deleting from iphone / cloud I just realized all my photos from my iphone are on google photos (which I never used voluntarily). Google will not allow me to just delete my photos from google, it insists on deleting on all devices and cloud. I stopped syncing/backup and have tried everything to delete but the delete button will NOT work on the web. I even downloaded the google photos app but when I delete, it says it will delete it everywhere. I feel like I'm being held hostage - how do I get this done???

That’s a question for Google. If you set up google photos to sync your images, then all will show.

Check your mobile device settings > Google Photos > Photos > Nothing.
