I've restarted both my phone and watch and it's still stuck on verifying. And my phone is up to date with the current update. Directions say to delete and try again but how do you delete and update?

Updates require the watch to be on charge.

if your watch is still functioning. On the watch go to Settings, General, Reset, Erase all content and settings, put in the passcode and confirm.
I realize that. I have it sitting on the charger. It still does not move beyond verify. And as long as I leave the automatic updates on, it will sit there and drain my battery dead.
It suggests the charger is mot working.
