I waited to upgrade to Sonoma and now Chrome will not update. I have uninstalled, reinstalled...the updater and Google LLC are chosen on the login.... My anti-virus does not have a problem with Google. I have done everything and still it's giving me the same errors. I need Chrome for my work. This is my personal Mac and not a managed Mac. Google says it's a problem with Sonoma. Any thoughts?

You state that you have an antivirus app installed. They are completely unnecessary fir Macs and often cause strange problems. I strongly recommend removing it using the vendor's uninstaller app. Then try installing the latest version Chrome. I'll bet that solves your problem.
Remove all add-ons from Chrome, and especially anything added by your anti-virus software installation (which should be removed). Reboot the Mac and try updating Chrome again. If it succeeds without any issues, then you know one or more of the add-ons is not compatible, may or may not have a newer add-on version, or should remain uninstalled.
FWIW, I have no problems updating Chrome on my Sonoma installs. Current version is 121.0.6167.139. Any error messages?

I am trying to use my ManyCam software with Google chrome. It was fine until I updated to Sonoma. This is the reason for my question. ManyCam has no idea why it won't work. Google has said it's a problem with Sonoma.... Not sure what to do now.
This won't help (other than to let you know it isn't happening in all cases), but I've had no issues with Chrome with Sonoma 14.0 through 14.3.
Thank you for your reply. I uninstalled my Intego virus protection and tried again and still have the same issue. Any other thoughts?
