Do I try to fix or replace an ancient battery?

Appreciate any recommendations for possible battery replacements or how to fix it. It’s an ancient MacBook Air that still uses macOS Sierra. I don’t know if Apple still can service it or not. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks in advance

you can go to OWC’s website to find the battery install videos for your specific MBA. you can use that to determine if you feel it's something you are capable of doing it yourself or if you need to farm it out to a professional. and I would also recommend sourcing the battery from OWC.

you would need to Contact Apple for support and service as the age of the MBA will determine wether or not apple will service it. but, if they will, that also means you can get an apple OEM battery for your MBA.
