Folders not displaying on MacOS mail for my Outlook.com mail.

I use the MacOS mail app for my mail from Outlook.com. It all works fine with the exception of showing all of the folders from Outlook.com. The folders all show fine on my IOS devices but not the MacOS Mail app. Any suggestions.

This will depend on what Protocol Outlook.com is using .

It will also depend on how Mail is configured

IMAP Protocol from the Server ( Outlook.com ) will reflect back to Mail what is appearing in Outlook.com

Suggest you explore this aspect of which Protocol Outlook.com is using and what configuration is presently used in Mail

If Outlook is using POP Protocol well that might answer your question

I've verified the protocol as follows and the sub-folders still don't display and I know they are there.

  • IMAP accounts: imap-mail.outlook.com, port 993
  • Outgoing SMTP server: smtp-mail.outlook.com, port 587

The account was setup correct except the incoming port was 143 which I changed to 993.

My inbox on my Mac still only displays 3 subfolders and there is 9 subfolders in the inbox. Like I said earlier my IOS devices work perfect and displays all of the subfolders. I feel like I'm missing a setting.
