To update your Hotmail account password, it is recommended to initiate the change through a web browser.
Once you've successfully updated your password, you'll need to reconfigure your Hotmail account on the iOS Mail app to ensure continued access.
Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts. Tap the email account you want to remove from your iPhone, then tap Sign Out or Delete Account. Note: If you change your mind later, you can add the email account back to your iPhone. See Add an email account.
