UPS Stole My Returned iMac
Brand new iMac 24 was received and I was not happy with the screen backlight bleeding. Took to a Genius Bar and they ran diagnostics and confirmed it should not be like it was for a brand new iMac. Could not replace in store as it was purchased online and paid for by finance.
Returned home with iMac and called Apple Care who arranged for a return / replacement. Advised I would get an email after 22:48 that day to confirm collection. I thought that was a weird time. Anyway no email was forthcoming so I logged in to my Apple account set-up a return / collection on the order there.
Printed the label from my Apple accoun, packaged everything up in the original iMac box and attached the label.
Next day UPS arrived, however they had come with their own label. The label had a different weight (2kg) and a slightly different Apple address. I told the driver I had already attached printed label to the box and he agreed to use that as it had the correct weight on it and said it would be fine.
Chasing up my replacement and after several calls to Apple they advised they had only received an empty box and would start an investigation.
At one point an new order for the replacement appeared on my account, but that has since been cancelled.
All along the support journey I wa told not to worry I would get a replacement and it would be sorted.
Apple have now emailed simply to day they have not received the item and I would not get a refund or replacement.
To say I feel sick to my stomach is an understatement
