Just got home and same problem so called Apple support on line with my Mac and they called me back 30 sec latter after a few check this and check that they ask me to put the time and date manually and turn off the automatic part of it and Bingo

When connected to your router, go to AppleIcon>SystemSettings>Network>Wi-FI.

It should show the Router SSID name as being connected.

Select the "Details" button.

Does it show an IP address? Does it show the Router Address?

Are the first three digits the same or different?

Toggle the "Limit IP address tracking" off if it is turned on.

See if this helps or not.

In the side bar of the "detailed connection", select the TCP/IP button and then select the "renew DHCP Lease button. See if this helps.

If not, go back and select the "Forget This Network" button.

Then try and join the Wifi Router again.

You are going to need to input your WIFI router password again.

Good luck.

What Mac OSx are you running on the Macbook Air (MBA)?

Confirm:

You are able to connect to your Wifi router with the MBA, but not the internet?

You are able to connnect to your iphone hotspot with the MBA, but not the internet?

What are the other Macs and their OSx versions that can connection to your Wifi router and the internet?

It sounds as if DHCP on the MBA is not automatically getting an ip address from your router and hotspot.

Reboot router twice

reboot the Mac and also turn it off completely

when to safe mode also

connected in Hotspot with iPhone

tried adjusting the clock manually it show July 2023

log in my router and it shows connected like my other Mac and 2 iPads 2 iPhones my tv and sound bar and others

running Sonoma 14.1.1

did not try to connect direct in the router with USB C to Lan since my adapter is not here with me but will be back home tomorrow so probably the last thing to try

also did everything recommended by LUKCRESDERA see here

And no results
