How do I transfer my phone number from my old phone to my new one without having to double click the side button? That’s is the reason I needed a new one…the side button won’t work

Which iPhone model is your old iPhone? Which iPhone model is your new iPhone? Are you using an eSIM with your old iPhone or a physical SIM?

You can also transfer your phone number and your cellular service to your new iPhone by calling your carrier and they should be able to provide you simple directions. You won’t have to use the old iPhone at all if you move the service with the help of your carrier.
