How to stop all my files from showing as tiles on my iMac home screen?

While doing something completely random, all my files made over the last 2 years suddenly listed as tiles on my home screen. I don't want them there but I don't want them to be trashed completely, just not fouling up my home screen. Is there a quick fix to revert the home screen to the beautiful photo? I'm in Sonoma 14.3. Thanks.
