When i record my audio into Logic pro x the audio cuts in and out and sounds distorted. Any idea on what i could do to combat this situation? I've tried everything

I have tried changing instrument leads, I've checked the sample rates and buffer size are consistent across the Macbook book the interface and the software. I've even tried playing the instrument in stand-alone guitar apps and it works perfectly fine. As soon as it hits Logic to record it sounds broken.

See if this helps...

Check the Control Center on the top right of MacOS menu bar.  It's where your volume control, network setting etc are located. You should see a microphone while Logic is running. Click on it and change to standard

Hope this helps.
