Unable to play Podcast in chronological order in iPhone and iPad

My iPod and iPhone will not play my podcasts episodes in a chronological order: they plays them in reverse. Very annoying. Does anyone know how to remedy this flaw?

My podcasts used to play (in previous iOS versions) logically: episode 3 would follow episode 2 after episode 1 . Instead, the system now will play episode 1 again after it played episode 2. To listen to the story in a logical flow, I have to stop the flow after each episode and click to the next episode myself, from 1 to 2 to 3 on and on. What was APPLE thinking?! Does anyone know how this flaw in the system can be repaired?
