Updating 2017 MacBook to Ventura

I have a MCBookPro 2017, (2,3 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3) running on Os 10.14.Mojave. Can I update the system safely to Ventura 13.6.4 ?

A 2017 MacBook Pro can be upgraded to the current version of Ventura macOS 13 (that is currently 13.6.4).

Be sure to have a backup before upgrading (advisable at all times, not just when upgrading).

Just to add to previous advise

Suggest having at least 50 GB of Empty Space on the drive.

It will allow the Full Version ( about 12.xx GB ) to download, then expand and then commence to install.

If the computer does not have enough empty space, the installer may refuse to install

If there is Third Party Security Software installed - remove it.

It will interfere with both the download and installation process.
