AirPods washed in washing machine

my AirPods were accidentally washed in the washing machine and there was water inside the case for a day even though I had it in rice for 11 hours. I ended up being able to blow the water out of it but now it resets every time I turn them off and when I try to pair them to my phone again it takes a couple try’s and sometimes doesn’t work. Is there any way to fix this? There might be a tiny bit of water in them and I’m scared of that is the case but I’m hoping against it.
