Unable to add Google account to MacOS Sonoma MacBook Air

I recently changed my Google password. I have a MacBook Air M1 with Sonoma installed. When I went to update my Google password, it wouldn't work. I removed my Google account from the "Internet Accounts" section of my Mac. When attempting to re-add my Google account, I repeatedly get a 400 error code from Google (after successful two step verifications and/or passkey validation). I've been able to restore email syncing and calendar synching using app passwords, but this doesn't seem to work for contacts synching. I'd really just like to be able to add my Google account back the normal way. Any ideas?

I found a solution that worked for me from this post:

Turns out the reason was Safari's Advanced tracking and Fingerprinting Protection. Turn off to enable adding the Google account. When done, turn it back on.
