I have been a Mac user for decades (first unit was SE30). Have loved iTunes etc. BUT, now when searching and wanting to preview music (for purchase) I am 'forced' to sign up to Music (the one month free is a farce/lure). Why? Some stuff I can still see/preview ... other stuff I am redirected to the Music sign up page. This is crippling my 'iTunes' love of apple ... using a 2020 iMac. What's the problem here?
Hi Jim - excellent (my faith returned - although it was my own inattention). When entering a search phrase I had not noticed the change in the top right (which provided the iTunes option), it naturally defaulted to Music which threw me. Thanks heaps :)

You don’t need to subscribe to Apple Music to purchase music from iTunes Store. See Buy music from the iTunes Store on your Mac – Apple Support (UK)
