how to prevent iphone from taking over the network on a windows pc?

when I connect my iphone 15 pro with my windows pc with a usbc cable, my windows pc automatically switches to a new ethernet connection (which comes from my iphone) but it has no internet. so I have no internet connect anymore on my laptop.

my iphone has an active 5G connection and wifi connection, but still my laptop has no internet.

how can i disable my laptop from using my iphone as a "network"?
