Apple Watch fitness tracker

Hi guys I’m just looking for some information to clear up a question about the calorie count on the fitness rings.

I’ve set my calorie count to 1100 per day as I’m currently training to try and get in good shape for a holiday. Now my dilemma is that I’m working out really hard and hitting my target but as I’ve been told the average adult burns about 2000 a day I’m a little confused. Is the 1100 target I’m hitting in the day on top of the 2000 benchmark?

so for example if my body would normally burn 2000cal through the corse of my day then I do 1100cal work out would this mean I’m actually burning 3100cal in my day or am I missing something?
